Decorating seasonally can be a fun and playful way to change up your home decor. You don’t need to go all out (though that’s fun too!) for your home to feel fall-ish or halloween inspired. Some subtle touches can make all the difference.

Pumpkins – Add some mini faux white pumpkins to a large bowl or larger more decorative pumpkins to console tables, on top of a stack of books or along your mantle. These are great pieces to add as they work for fall and transition into halloween as well.
Skulls – If you feel like adding a bit of spookiness to your home, skulls are a great option. You can find them in various designs and materials and like pumpkins can look great added amoung your existing home decor. Place one inside a cloche for a spooky yet elegant look.

Bats – Paper or vinyl bats are a big trend right now. You can place them almost anywhere… along a wall, around a mirror or across your fireplace mantle. The more the better with these.
Spiders/Cobwebs – Cobwebs add a fun and inexpensive spooky touch. Add some spiders to a stack of books, add cobwebs to chairs, artwork, lighting, mantle, almost anywhere really. You can even purchase very large spiders (4-6 ft!) and hang down your staircase or outside climbing on your home.

Black candles – Swap out your traditional white candlesticks for black for an instant spooky pop.

Witches hats – floating witches hats is a fun and playful decor addition to your halloween inspired home. Use clear fishing line to hang hats from your ceiling at varying heights for a really whimsical and spooky feel.

Skeletons – If you feel like being extra fun, grab a posable skeleton or two. They are super fun to add around the home. I move mine around often into funny poses and spots and the kids love finding him and laugh at his shenanigans… like drinking his morning coffee or when he took a bath below 😉

Happy Decorating!
