I just love putting together my littles Easter baskets! As much as we all love chocolate and sweets I do try to limit how much of it I put in their baskets and try to think of items they can use and learn from too. I’ll include a few pieces though – it is Easter! They’ll get plenty of chocolate from the Easter egg hunts too I’m sure! Aside from sweets then, I’m always trying to think of new ideas of what to fill their baskets with so I thought it might be helpful to share what I (errr the Easter Bunny) put into my littles baskets this year.
For Owen (age 5 months, almost 6).
His basket this year includes: new rain boots, a wood puzzle, a stuffie, new summer hat, an ice cream cone filled with bubble mix, a personalized nonbreakable mug, llama piggy bank, a moonlite book and a bunny shaped teether.
Other ideas for this age group would be: baby food, spoons, bowls, bibs, books, rattles, a bathing suit and beach towel, raincoat, board books or touchy-feely books.
For Ainsley (age 3.5):
Her basket is filled with new pink rainboots (she’s all about the pink!), sunglasses, new spring dress, a bunny alarm clock, some pink peeps (because pink), a chocolate bunny, lovechild organics snacks, ice cream cone bubbles, a moonlite book and her own personalized non breakable mug. Don’t forget the glitter bunny ears headband too!
Other ideas for her age include: books, stuffies, jewelry, sidewalk chalk, nail polish, hair accessories, a balloon, stickers, bucket and shovel, gardening tools, stickers, a bathing suit and beach towel, art supplies, sandals or a skipping rope,
For Everett (age 5):
Like his siblings, he is also getting new rain boots, ice-cream bubbles and his own mug. He’s also getting sunglasses, a new train toy, some chocolate (because he gets his sweet tooth from his mama!), a moonlite player and book, summer shoes, a new tee, and some yellow peeps!
Other ideas in addition to those listed above could be: action figures, lego, play doh, movies, toothbrush, toothpaste, (anyone else’s kid obsessed with brushing their teeth?!), fruit snacks, bubble bath, bath toys. puzzles, board games.
I can’t wait to see my littles faces on Easter morning! I hope this gives you some ideas for your littles baskets too!
Happy Easter everyone!
