If 2020 taught us anything its that family and friends are really whats most important. Ive made some amazing friends from this account and I thank you all for the love and support this year. There are pretty ornaments and there are cheesy kid ornaments. There are sentimental ornaments and ones from my husbands childhood. There is one particularly funny ornament my mother in law gave me 14 years ago that always makes me laugh when I unwrap it every year and there is one branch that has 3 of the same ornament on it because my 3 year old thought they looked good that way. Its imperfectly perfect and we wouldn't want our Christmas tree any other way. 🎄

We always do a real tree for Christmas and let me tell you it is soooo hard waiting for them to become available when you are someone like me who wants a tree up November 1st! Sometimes when I look around at my house all I see is the stuff I still want to do to it. Like in my living room I'd love to add millwork, built ins and I still need a rug. That's the downside of IG, so many perfectly styled and completely finished spaces. But then I realize that we've only been in our house a little over a year and that we need to appreciate the progress we've already made. Progress over perfection is my new motto! I have loved white and black anemones for so long. I remember trying to have them at our wedding 11 years ago and being told they weren't in season at the time of our wedding 😭. I just found these faux anemones and ordered them quick. They are such a good faux and I can see them perking me up all winter until I can see some real ones outside in the spring.
