After I posted my Thanksgiving tablescape (you can view it here), I had quite a few requests for a Christmas one. Tablescapes and table settings are a favourite of mine, especially holiday themed ones, so I was more than happy to oblige!
Today I’m sharing my red and gold themed Christmas tablescape with you.
I always start with some greenery, whether real or faux, as I find it really helps fill the table space and adds a nice warmth to the overall space. This year I used some faux garland and draped it down the middle of the table. I added some red glass ball ornaments throughout the garland to tie in with the red charging plates. I felt like it needed just a little something more so I added some little white ceramic houses and some tall white wood trees for height as well.
I used these classic red charging plates and I layered a simple white dinner plate on top on them. Next I added in these sweet red scallop edged white napkins and these festive dessert plates I’ve had for a few years and absolutely love. They have 4 different words written across them: noel, cheer, joy and wish. So festive right?! You could add in any decorative plates here though: a gold edged plate or a Christmas patterned one. The rest of the table setting is so simple, have some fun with the dessert plates!
Now that the table is all set… lets start planning the meal!
